No ammunition allowed in class. If you have a firearm, bring it with you and we will all clean firearms together.
This is a no range time course. Range time is an additional fee and can be reserved at the time of your class.

What does this class entail?
Basic Pistol Class Overview
Our Basic Pistol Class is designed for beginners and those looking to enhance their foundational skills with handguns. The class includes all the information for attaining your Concealed Carry Permit through your county sheriff's office.
- Firearm Safety:
- Fundamental safety rules and proper handling techniques.
- Safe loading, unloading, and storage practices.
- Handgun Basics:
- Understanding the parts and functions of a pistol.
- Types of ammunition and proper selection.
- Shooting Fundamentals:
- Stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control.
- Techniques to improve accuracy and consistency.
- Legal and Responsible Ownership:
- Overview of firearm laws and regulations.
- Responsible ownership, transportation, and usage guidelines.
- Firearm Cleaning Methods
This course ensures participants leave with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to handle a pistol safely and effectively. No prior experience is required, and all equipment can be provided upon request.

Club Membership
Who can be a Primary Member:
Any Republican woman who believes in the principles of the Republican Party and supports the objectives and policies of this organization shall be eligible for primary membership.
Who can be an Associate Member:
- Any woman who is a primary member of another Oregon Federation of Republican Women Club and who supports the objectives and policies of this Club shall be eligible to become an associate member upon payment of the required annual dues.
- Any Republican man who supports the objectives and policies of this Club shall be eligible to become an associate member upon payment of the required annual dues. Associate membership for Republican men does not include membership to the NFRW nor the OFRW.
